    What's up with Zinc?

Anyone heard what's going on with Zinc? Masood made an entry the other day that it was going down from some urgent maintenance. It's down again now. I'd be glad for a little info on what's going on if someone knows.

It's running again. I'd still be interested in knowing if this is just a fluke or is turning into a chronic issue, if anyone knows.

    Thanks for any info.

Since you don't give a web address to check there is not way to know if the
problem is a server problem, or a problem on your end.

Thanks, Connie, for your response. It was a server problem as the network status page showed that it was down, and the post by Masood on 1/21 indicated (http://forums.jaguarpc.com/showthrea...threadid=10610).

I just wanted to know what was up with it. As it happens, it must have been something significant because the ssl addresses on my site no longer work. I'm sure it will be okay. Just frustrating and somewhat worrisome. And, I do have a ticket in on the ssl thing.

As far as posting my site, and I don't want to be paranoid or stupid, and I know that it could be easily found, but I have had so many probs with people defacing the site or attempting to, that I try and maintain as much anonymity as I can, especially knowing that the prob was not on my end (this time ). Although, as your post correctly implies, you can't ask for help if no one can find you. No offense intended towards any of the esteemed individuals who participate on the forums here, a place I visit daily.

    Thanks again!

Thanks! The SSL server wasn't working and it wasn't listening on some port. It's working now though, thanks to the folks at Jag!
