WoW! That's odd! It's going to http://carismaenmisiones.com/ instead...

The other site, www.carismaenmisiones.com, appears hosted at JaguarPC as well. Most likely an IP mixup in Jaguar's records. Best to to submit a support ticket on this to get it fixed. Dig results on the respective sites suggest both sites are hosted on Plutonium.

LOL yourself. I did. And the original question was: "what happened?"

Darrin, just as an FYI, it wouldn't be the first time this has happened to a site hosted here. But not that often. I saw more of it when they moved us en masse from one IP set to another awhile back. I suppose with the number of clients and IPs that JaguarPC manages, it's bound to pop up periodically when an IP must be reassigned for one reason or another.

BTW, I see the under construction page now, so it appears that you have gotten the matter resolved.

Vin, I understood that right away. You weren't following my meaning in that you had not yet addressed the crux of the question as I did, that's all. Sort of like the exchanges one might have with the support here, sometimes (but certainly not always).

I understand the crux of this thread perfectly, lookout. What I don't understand is why it bothers you that I replied first. You are obfuscating this seemingly minor and inconsequential truth, and claiming some sort of hollow victory in the process, by implying that your guess is definitive and absolute, thus making my reply invalid, and it doesn't wash. I had a reason for replying the way I did. You were taking a direct approach, and I was taking an indirect approach. It's as simple as that, but you seem to be spoiling for a fight, so...

I was simply trying to establish a dialog with our friend, before venturing into the wilderness with him. Do you know anything about this person, except that he is evidently uncommitted to maintaining his OWN website? Do you even care? Or, do you just want to be the first person to reply?

His laissez-faire attitude interests me. I would suggest that leaving a web site rarely visited and unattended for long periods of time, barren or not, is a formula for disaster. I wanted to see what his reasons for doing this were. Doesn't this interest you at all?

If you want to jump the gun and lay this all on JagPC, that's fine, but I've noted several hostile posts by you recently, attacking the underpinnings of JagPC with sarcasm, cynicism, and outright hostility; laying the seeds of doubt in ppl's minds. Are you planning on 'moving' soon and looking for rationale?

I don't know exactly what is going on in your life right now that is causing you to project these feelings onto others, but it's obviously coming from within. I think you need to look inside yourself for the answer, not 'lookout'. What is the source of the inner pain that's driving you, my friend? What do you think about when no one else is around? Why are you so paranoid? These are the questions I would like YOU to answer...

Have it your way then, Vin, it really isn't important to me. Feel free to question Darrin further if you like, I'm certainly not trying to stop you.

I'm sorry if you took my reply as provocation; it wasn't meant that way. With our history, maybe sparring is the best we can do. But I had thought you seemed to be asking for what I meant, and I was giving you the courtesy of a reply. And no, I am not laying foundations for leaving. I'm generally very satisfied with Jaguar's service, although like any host, they have their problems from time to time. I'm more interested in how they resolve them, and frankly, I think Jaguar has a pretty good record on that.

As for paranoia and personal pain driving my behavior, I take it you think that simply because I won't publish more personal info here. Or maybe it's something else I've posted here. I don't live inside your head after all. I'm a fairly private person, that's all. I don't expect you to understand that, but it's just how it is with me. Infer into it anything you like, but you really don't know me, now do you? I don't presume to know you either, for that matter.

    Now can we drop this?

Damn! You're a tough nut to crack, lookout! I know you gotta have a soft soft somewhere. Oh, well, back to the drawing board...
