Server Specific IP versus Unique IP

It's been a few months since I created my last account and now see that I am sharing an IP address. This raises a couple of questions.

Are all my other accounts now shared even though when I signed up the terms said unique IP?

Am I exposing myself to any potential problems if the others who are also sharing the same IP address start spamming or otherwise create problems that can be linked back to the IP address?

    Thanks,

    James

I think accounts that were set up prior to Jags policy change about dedicated
IPS are grandfatherd. Any Account set up after that time will have a
shared IP unless you pay a small fee per month for the dedicated IP. If you
have an SSL certificate a shared IP could cause problems for most uses
I don't think it would be that big a deal.

If you need an SSL certificate for your own domain name, only then you need a unique IP address. When customers purchase an SSL certificate for their domain name, their account needs to be changed to unique IP. SSL certificate can not be installed on shared IP.

Other than that unique IP or shared IP would work the same.

My understanding that the shared IP's don't allow anonymous FTP access, either.
