it says i'm using 0 MB, which isn't true. I'm putting up 100s of photos right now, so I don't see how it's 0. Does it update nightly or something? I thought it was realtime.
How would I find out how much space I'm using if that's broken?

If you have shell access, from you home dir type
du -sk
or
du -h
this will get you close to the size. It will not take databases into account.
Sometimes the cpanel is wrong, yep.![]()
I don't belive that the CP stats take databases into account, either. At least they didn't when I first started hosting here.

Usually this is a sign of the common cpanel quotas bug. If you see this please submit a ticket and the techs can look into it.

Come to think of it, have seen taht before, but never payed much attention to it. Well, it used to be that MySQL space wasn't included. Obviously that's changed and I don't pay very close attention to my CPanel.Originally posted by Jacksdad

And if your experience is like mine, support's fix will last about 2 days before it's broken again...it's a waste of time.Originally posted by Les

Not knocking support, I understand it's a CPanel bug. I use the "du -h" method above, and add to that my uncompressed MySQL backup's size - that's close enough.
I agree. CPanel disk space/useage has NEVER worked for more than a short period on any of the servers I am on.
The scarey part is that if it reports that you've gone over your useage incorrectly, it will block any new e-mail or any save activity on your site. It's happened to me twice now. Like the previous poster said, a ticket fixes it right up. For awhile.
