I have two support tickets open for RockyCrater.org, but I thought that I might post here as well to see if the oddness we're noting is unique to our domain or common to the whole of Lead-hosted sites.
We're a role playing club (Dragonriders of Pern, approved by Ms. McCaffrey's agents), so we live or die on our mailing lists. Up until yesterday the biggest complaint I had with mailman was that in the last year it had maybe sent out the monthly password reminders twice, and that it was ignoring the "send digest daily" command in favor of waiting for it to reach XXkb in size before mailing. For the last 24hrs (nearly) no e-mails have been passing through our lists despite Lead having all greens on the network status board. POP e-mail seems to be functioning normally at the moment.
And that brings me to the second item, for the last two weeks or so I've noticed random outages or extreme slowness not otherwise explained here or on the network status board -- granted, I didn't check the latter each and every time. E-mail -- pop and lists -- would go down, come back up, then go down again for anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or more. The http and / or mysql servers likewise had random downtime or took forever (defined as a minute or longer to contact on my 56k connection) to load the requested page.
We are not filtering any e-mails through spam assassin. And the mailing lists' -- all 11 of them -- haven't had their settings changed since before they last functioned correctly.
Anybody else having problems like these?
Also, while Lead seems to have a good trackrecord compared to some servers judging by the maintenance, does anyone know how the various servers truly stack up against one another?
