Determining URL of parked domain

I have a main domain, let's say www.domain.com

I have a parked domain, www.parkeddomain.com pointing to the main domain.

Is there a way for the index.php to know what domain name the user typed? Is it reflected in the $HTTP_HOST?

Yes, HTTP_HOST should contain the domain name that was used to request a page.
