This was not a bandwidth issue. Nowhere did I claim it was. Jag never claimed it was. I was nowhere near my bandwidth quota, and I never am.
Jag claimed I was over disk quota, but they were wrong. Even had they been correct, they completely locked me out of my account, then proceeded to tell me to delete files.
Got it?
I do. You should read the problem descriptions posted here more carefully before lecturing folks who don't deserve it.You should always have 2 to 3 extra gig of bandwidth if you expect to cut it close.
I'm tired of reading about folks getting their accounts suspended with absolutely no notice, for no reason other than Jag screwed up. I'm tired of moderators who don't read the details of problem reports, then close the topic after trying to get in a final jab at somebody who has a 100% legitimate complaint.I'm tired of these bandwidth messages, smart webmasters need to reserve extra bandwidth \and space in case of going over.
I'm on the v300 plan - 500MB disk quota, 25GB monthly transfer. Here are my current stats via CPanel - the official way Jag would have you check your stats:
Disk Usage: 347.68 MB
SQL Disk Usage: 20.07 MB
Disk Space Available: 152.32 MB
Data Transfer Usage This Month: 9015.38 MB
As usual, the disk space usage is hosed; running du from my shell account shows I'm at 430MB + the SQL data - still under my quota.
Now - feel free to explain why Jag was justified in suspending my account yesterday, and failing to respond to a tech support request to fix it for over 6 hours.
Bill
