I'm trying to settle a dispute with some bonehead. Does anyone know if httpd.conf is set to generate mod_gzip.log files on Neutron? That would settle 'it' once and for all...![]()

mod_gzip isn't installed on Neutron

On Neutron, dynamically generated HTML can be compressed with GZIP by using either 'ob_gzhandler' in PHP, or 'ZLib' output compression, but not 'mod_gzip'? There is no 'mod_gzip' log file available because 'mod_gzip' is not enabled/installed on Neutron. It is not missing because httpd.conf is setup incorrectly, right?
Would that be an accurate assessment?![]()

Oh, BTW, to anyone interested in GZIP'ing their website, and happens across this thread - do NOT attempt to run 'ob_gzhandler' and 'ZLib' compression at the same time. I found this out the hard way. Run either/or, ZLib being the preferred method.
Anyone doing this using CURL?

Guess I'm the only person that 'compresses' his web site, huh? Interesting...
