    Unhappy SQL/DB Errors on Plutonium?

Anyone having problems with SQL on Plutonium? My blog, is throwing all kinds of SQL and DB errors. It happened last night as well, but was fine this morning and is now all messed up again. I've opened a support ticket after seeing that the network status was fine for my server. Uggh!

Aye I had trouble ... one of my Dbs was apparently corrupted, after a long discussion with support the problem was solved and support apparently denied there was a problem (at least as I read it). The whole excersise left me with such a headache that I didn't bother to argue it with them, particuarly as just before that I was about to shell out $15 for them to restore a backup.

I use WordPress for my blog and am getting an "error 28 from table handler" error. I checked the WP forums and this seems to happen when the /tmp partition on the host's end becomes full. I just checked my disk usage and it's waaay over:

    Disk Usage 443.86 MB
    SQL Disk Usage 2.27 MB
    Disk Space Available -243.86 MB
Data Transfer Usage This Month 123.97 MB

And it was no where near that full the other day. It sounds like it's definitely on Jaguar's end, but I haven't heard anything back yet. I haven't done a backup since installing WP and I'm sitting here kicking myself right now. UGGH! Hopefully they can fix it, most people said by having their hosts umount the partition, fix it and mount it again.

I hope I don't get the run around from them. Makes me suspicious since it happened last night AND again today!

Aye it did happen twice, although being in the UK it was first thing this morning and then again this evening. Maybe it would be best to move this to the support forum where it might get the attention of the 'senior' support members. I don't think the people I've talked to yet have really got a grip on the problem yet.

Sounds like a good idea to me. They've just fixed it, but didn't tell me what caused it. So I updated my ticket to ask what the problem was. I feel like they're being sneaky.

Okay, they just said that the errors are happening because there are too many SQL connections at one time on the server. They poo-pooed it and said it's a temporary thing and it will resolve itself on it's own.

Since it's happened twice to me in a 24 hour period and yourself as well and probably others too, I'm a bit bothered by their response. They should be looking into why the errors are happening and trying to resolve it instead of telling users to wait it out. My site was down for over an hour and maybe more, this last time.

    Not a happy camper,

Nice. Tech support said the problem was caused by a file I had in my root directory. I deleted that file and my site was fine. Went to post via my WordPress and the SAME DAMN thing is happening AGAIN! I'm getting tired of the run around.

Any ideas on what I should do next as Tech Support keeps trying to blame the problem on me???

All appears to be working now. There was an issue with my server space quota. They ran a script to fix it and so far, so good. I still don't know if this caused all the SQL errors or not, but I'm just glad to have it working again.

I know how you feel, after everything I was just happy it was working but I still don't think the problem is resolved because I've not yet heard a convincing explaination. It's very disappointing because until now I'e been extremely happy with support (well for this year at least)

I hear you! I actually just tried to log back into the ticket system and I can't. This happened one other time when I had a support ticket out as well. I'm wondering if they blocked me from being able to login??
