    about SSL?

I feel like I've been asking too many questions...I am sorry

    SSL (Secure Pages)
    SSL (Secure Pages)

You can secure your website using our 128bit Thwate Super cert.
To secure your site you simply need to access it via ....
I undestand what it says in the quotes but still don't know what it is for, and how to actually use it with my website? and if we want our website to be safe, why can't SSL be used as a default?

    Thank you!

cause you have to pay for an SSL Certificate. That's why it's not default.

SSL is used when you have personal information transfering between your client and your site. Like CC#, Username & Passwords, stuff like that.

Valuable information you don't want others to see.

If you run your whole website over SSL, it would be slow browsing and put more load on the server because all the communication between your browser and server has to be encrypted and decrypted. Quite a lot of mathematics involved in there
