    SSL and osCommerce

I am setting up osCommerce and I do not know hot to set up my SSL.

I know it has something to do with my configure.php files, but I do not know what to edit in them. And until I get this fixed, I cannot access my checkout.

Any Help would be much Appreciated,
    Thank You,

you have to buy a SSL Cert and have Jag Install it

you also have to have a Dedicated IP address

Jag Sells the SSL Cert for $49/year

IP cost extra too, dont remember how much $1-$2/mo

or you can go with out a SSL, but if your using anything more than PayPal Payment Modulae I recommend againt that, and depending on where your at I would not do it at all since Privacy Laws and your job in protecting them are getting more complex

to Disable SSL go in to your configure file and find the line that says "enable_ssl" and where is says "true" replace that with "false"

You can also use the shared SSL certificate for your server. Your URL would be something like https://secure##.nocdirect.com/~username, where ## is the number that can be found with your server on the network status page in the clients section of JPC's site.

    I totaly forgot about that

although, I still recommend all my client get their own, it hold your company more creditable,

Depending on what you see, customers may be "shocked" to have the URL change in the middle of checkout like that.......
