Question Multi-hosted domain should point to folder?

    Hi All,

I have a main site (eg):

    www.dog.com

    and a multi-hosted domain:

    www.cat.com

Now, shouldn't the address www.cat.com show the page at:

www.dog.com/cat/ [while the browser shows www.cat.com]

    ??

Am I missing something? The reply to my multihost request said that the 'cat' domain was now pointing to my subdomain, and I did set up a cat.dog.com sundomain and /cat/ directory.

I thought you only went to the top level if you used a parked domain?? (Don't quote me on that one!)

    Thanks!

That's how it should work, but maybe something wasn't set up right. What problem are you having, you weren't specific? Is cat.com resolving to the same place as dog.com or is it not resolving at all? If it is the latter, the cat.com domain name may not have propagated yet (if you just transfrered it here or just registered it). That can take a couple of days to happen. If it is the former, reply to your ticket and ask them to look at it again. Tell them that it appears as though the domain was parked instead of multihosted. They may have forgotten to modify the Apache conf, or they may have mistyped the domain name or something when they did modify it.

    Thanks for the tip.

Yeah, the domain is resolving but to the same place. (ie. the top level in the folder structure).

    I'll re-open my ticket.

    Thanks again!
