    NEON slow response time

NEON has has 8 to 22 second response time for the last hour and a half... I've opened a ticket.... still the same. Yesterday was horrible as well, as all during business hours the machine had mostly 3-5 second response time.

What's going on? Anyone else seeing the same thing on NEON?

Two and a half hours now -- nothing back from support... site is now in excess of 30 second response time. I can shell in just fine, uptime is fine .72 load average, email is fine, but HTTP is virtually unreachable.

    SOMEBODY FIX THIS PLEASE

OH MY GOD! This is PRECISELY the SAME issue we're getting... We're told its not a Jag problem, its a DOS, and we cannot be credited. I'm losing money because of these issues.

I sincerely thought this was a problem just to computercops.biz and nukecops.com. Everything apparently is "fine and dandy".

Now I'm getting really upset about this. Why is Jag telling us all one thing in private, and making us all think we're the only ones having issues?

These threads are revealing something of a much bigger issue.

    Zhen-Xjell:

Please check the dates of both issues. This neon issue has nothing to do with that particular DOS attack.

I am seeing 27 second response time on neon HTTP right now. I opened a ticket and did not receive an email notification immediately. this looks like the same problem as before, Masood.

Hi, I am seeing very long response times (> 20 seconds) at xxxxxxxxx.org (NEON)
    Thanks for your help.
When you respond to this ticket, would you kindly provide the following information:
    1) If were you able to recreate the problem
    2) If you did find a problem, what it was and how you fixed it.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Yes, I could recreate the problem. There were some hung apache (http) processes slowing it down. I restarted the apache server and the response time is back to normal now. Do let us know if this problem happens again anytime, we will be monitoring the server continuously.
