    Question Usernames & Passwords

Just wondering what you guys do to remember usernames/passwords/reg keys etc without writing them down on a piece of paper?

I've forgotten my login info on Aletianic. Think I know the UN, but the rest is gone from the memory and now I have to wait at least 30 minues before trying out more combinations. I know you can run the PW recovery over there, but I don't remember to have set the clue, so......

I usually use an easily remembered PW written in an unusual way. One thing that I used to do (before developing better tricks) was to use my phone number, but spell out the prefix, like so:

    123-fivefivefive-5555

Although that was long ago and I've since moved on to using things that won't be found in the dictionary (as that's the safest way to go).

Anyway, as to your specific problem, I'm sure they can reset your password and e-mail the new one to theaddress they have on file for you. That shouldn't be a problem at all, with or without a secret question.

I maintain a text file on my PC, with my usernames and passwords. However, I truncate the passwords in such a way as to only make sense to myself.

I also keep a loose-leaf notebook with print-outs of various user agreements, and so forth, along with my usernames and passwords.

That's what works best for me...
