counter not working

My counter stopped working sometime today...and not sure why.
Nothing has changed...checked the control panel and it's set right.
I'm on copper.nocdirect.com

"could not write to counter file: /var/cpanel/Counters/loganlin.dat"

any help as to why??

Please try removing the .dat from the counter name and it should work.

Thanks Jason....it's always had the .dat on there. and up until sometime this evening it worked.
but it's working now...just reset back to zero...lol

it lets me reset the counter...but without the .dat, it doesn't change to the number i put in.

ok, just renamed the counter and it works like usual again now.

For better results, try a PHP Counter

thanks, Galen...I checked it out myself...It sounds good, but I couldn't seem to find any screen shots or a demo anywhere. Any suggestions?
