How do aletiaNIC name servers work?

it seems like they've tryed to making it easier, but its totally confused me, don't you just normally enter a NS 1--2--4----6 depending on the NIC with the corressponding name servers?

With Aletia, its complex, what do I have to do so it points to my site?

All of the nameservers have the same information, so in theory you could pick any two and add them to your domain. You should probably stick to similar pairs, though: chose jaguarpc.net or aletia.com or or nocdirect.com, etc. Registrars require that you list two nameservers for redundancy, but most will let you list more than that. Two are all you need, but feel free to list others if you wish. For example, on my primary domain I am using the ns-ns6.jaguarpc.net series.

AletiaNIC nameservers and Jag Nameservers are differant

AletiaNIC in really a Front End API hooked in to Enom, so if your wanting to use the Domain Features you get when you buy a Domain from Enom (aletiaNIC) you have to use Enoms Name Servers,. which I beleive are dns1-4.name-services.com (dont qoute me on the name-services.com I have not used enom in a while...)

While if you want to use the DNS nameservers you get when you host an account with JagPC you would have to use any of the JapPC Nameservers which are Recored in the Client Section under "network status"

Most common for Direct Jag Customers are ns-6.jaguarpc.net

My original domain was with Network Solutions. My second was with Aletia/Jag. I transferred the first to AletiaNIC through the kind help of Jag. So both are now with AletiaNIC

Both are listed as using ns1.aletia.com and ns2.aletia.com

Making even the slightest change through NetSol was so difficult....it was all email based, and position was everything, and authorization would fail for any of 100 reasons, and the error messages were poor.... I recall changing an email address (probably the most sensitive piece of data on NetSol at the time) required 15 or 16 emails.

Since I've been here, I've never had a single moment of difficulty with either of those domains.
