    Alaska-airwaves.com

After slaving on the PHP, I finally got the big chunk of the site finished. It's a Radio Station Database for Alaska.

Try the station search. You can search by Call Letters, Frequency, Band(AM-FM), Location or Owner. Partial queries are also accepted. If you type in the letters "KK" in thee search field, any Call Letters, Frequency, Band, Location or Owner with "KK" in it will show.

Let me know what you think.

    Hey kornmonkie,
I went there. Where there's "There's Nothing Here", there's something there. So there.

Maybe he meant "Nothing is here."

The existentialism abounds ...to say so much with so little. For our next exercise, let's define "is". Oops, wrong thread.

Take my word for it! I'm an expert on 'nothing'. That's why I'm rated #8 in Google PageRanks...

    I love it!

One suggestion: make the website info into a link?

I like the theory behind the site, but I'm not crazy about the look. I think the colors are too dark. If you are going to go with the dark backgrounds, lighten up the text a little. The red on black and the dark green on grey are the worst. The banner is also very difficult to read. (The red-on-black menu might look better if you changed to a sans-serif font like Ariel or Verdana and made it bold.)

    yeah

I like the site, but jason is right about the colours. You needn't do anything fancy, maybe just a background over your links using css, then it's evry easy to keep your mouse-over too.

see what i mean at http://www.orbicular.co.uk

just done using css, but can configure it so that is light then dark, as opposed to what i've done.

I'm sorry, I just hate the colors. And the layout seems weird, that I have to scroll down past a big blank spot on the right side to get to the content. I don't know if that's what you wanted. But that's just horrible.
