    External domain

Hiya. So I registered a domain with register.com, let's call it xyz.com. We have a JaguarPC account, let's call it abc.org.

What I want is for people to be able to type 'xyz.com' into their web browser, and have a website hosted on abc.org to appear, but I want the URL in the title bar to be xyz.com the whole time. I would normally just have the website sit on abc.org's IP address, and have xyz.com point to that IP, but there's already a website at abc.org. I created a subdomain, xyz.abc.org (which in reality creates a subdirectory, abc.org/xyz). Is it possible to have the domain 'xyz.com' simply tell the abc.org server to use abc.org/xyz as the document root? How would I do this?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

In other words, you want to multihost an account here, right? If so, that's no problem. See...

Yes, as Vinn said, you can multihost xzy.com on top of xyz.abc.com. Just open a support ticket and ask them to do it. You get five such setups free with your account.

Also be sure that the DNS servers you've listed with register.com for xyz.com are teh same as the ones you're using for abc.com.

I think that you have too much time on your hands if you have time to think about those kinds of things. To be honest, I don't really care about it all that much.

There do seem to be a lot of questions on that issue and it might save the effort of answering the same one over and over. The two you did that are pinned were very well done (speaking as an ex-teacher) and I found them very useful. I know how much effort things like that take, so thanks.
