Word to the wise...
The biggest reason I'm reporting the above is because it's a security risk. This kind of PHP error reporting can be very dangerous to the health of your web site, and web forums, of which 2200+ posts are mine.
Take my word for this. I moderate/admin on several PHP-Nuke web sites (a favorite target of hackers), and do a lot of web development, including security work. My Nuke site is attack several times a day, especially since 'you guys' moved to MySQL 4.x, blah, blah, blah. I know what I'm talking about...
You should kill your "display_errors". You can do this in 'php.ini' or '.htaccess' by changing/adding:The reason PHP error reporting is a security risk is because it reveals absolute paths to your files, account name, and so forth. This makes it MUCH easier for hackers to attack your site than having to operate in the blind.Code:php_flag display_errors off
By turning the errors off, ppl (including hackers) will simply see a blank white page - much preferable to displaying sensitive and dangerous info, which is nobody's business but yours (no pun intended)...

Ran into that same error earlier today. Seemed to resolve itself seconds later. The error reporting advice you mention is quite right. Kind of like people forgetting to turn off FatalstoBrowser in CGI perl. Some people just like to live on the edge.
Oops, spoke too soon. When accessing thread mere secondes ago, the same error presented. I guess they've not yet read your post.
I PM'ed Greg, and opened a ticket too, so hopefully 'they' are aware of the problem now...![]()

BTW, I had to submit a reply about 10 times before it 'stuck'... same problem!

I see they're running PHP 4.3.6 here. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I know MY site has been running <explicative deleted> since they switched it to PHP 4.3.4...

I don't know if it's a PHP version thing or not. I'm not using PHP now so I'd have no idea. Seems like a reasonable area of investigation. I've been experiencing the same error all day now and it is not limited to any particular thread. If I reload the web page, the error repeats (or I'm recalling it from cache). If I exit the thread and immediately return, the error "resolves". No discernable pattern or trend in its appearance.
"integer overflow in memory allocation" - synonym for "memory buffer overflow"?
It's a ZEND engine error...Originally posted by Spathiphyllum

Why has this thread automatically added itself to "My Subscribed Threads" when it wasn't there 5 mins ago and I've never seen it before?

I've never used this smilie before. Congrats.
Since Tech Support is aware of this thread now, I thought I would include this, to show what I am referring to when I said PHP has been acting odd lately...Guess I need to recant that statement...Originally posted by Vin DSL
