In AWS, "Visitors domains/countries (Top 25)" shows up as always being "Unknown"
Does this happen to everyone or just me? When I've used this software previously on different systems, this always shows up as: UK, Finland, etc etc

I think that's because JPC's servers don't do DNS lookups on the rremote IP address. AWS uses the TLD value (such as .us, .uk, .ru, etc) to determine the country, but since Apache isn't logging the requesting machine's name AWS doesn't have that info to go by.

Thanks! Any chance of JagPC ever changing it?

It works for me...
What server are you on, Galen? I'm on Argon, and it has never worked for me.
Doesn't work on Neutron either...

Thanks Vin for the tip. I'm going to install that when I have time. Right now I have to go to work.
Rats! It appears you have to use a content management system to be able to use this. I really liked the idea of this though.
I'm on Panther. doesn't work there. Don't see any reason why not, though as it has the same config as another host that I have used before.

I compared Galen's IP address to the IP's on the network status page, and deduced that he is on the Falcon server. So maybe if I get a new account, I will ask to be put on that server if there is room.
Give this a try: http://jaguarpc.com/forums/showthrea...3665#post73665Originally posted by Joshua Clinard

I just found out that you have to configure AWStats to do this. Go into your tmp folder, then into the awstats folder. There will be a *.conf file for your main domain, and for each of your subdomains. Open up your .conf files, and find the line DNSLookup = 0, and change that to 1. From then on, it will identify your visitors by country. There are a lot of other options you can configure from that file. The one I especially like is that you can add a self-update link.
Thanks! But why has it been pre-configured on some servers and not on others?
Anyway - I'm happy now! Thank you!
