    Regarding Patriot

We have corrected the problem. It is due to a user had more apache connections and we suspended him.

If this is a shared server, how did one particular account exceed the number of Apache connections since that would seem to me to be an Apache main server constricted setting? Was a "rogue" perl script or something used to enable more than the account was supposed to have? Can virtual servers set an arbitrary number of connections that cannot be main-server-limited?

i thought it was 99.9% uptime guarantee?
Patriot has been down everyday lately atleast 2 hours out of the day. :/ the TOS says something about a discount on your bill when it has been down like this.

I see the mail is down at the moment...

Is there problems with this server? This must be a new server is it?

I have only just started hosting and have been put on this one. Maybe if it is new it could be having teething troubles LOl

    Regards
    Lobos

    Hello Lobos:

It may be hard to believe but we have had alot of problems with accounts spamming out of the Patriot server. We think we have the issue under control now and will stop the spamming altogether on that server ASAP . We do apologize to everyone, it just takes one account spamming to crash the whole mail server.

The server itself is in great shape. There's no load issues or anything else of that nature-it's a strong machine. We will get the accounts at fault of the server as we gain information on who it is.

Are you being sarcastic or optimistic here, and could you be more specific?

Cursory review and disregarding potentially spoofed headers says that Patriot got blacklisted from the AOL mailing systems due to a spam threshold previously exceeded by the Patriot server. You tried to send an email through one of Jag's servers to a recipient at AOL. It was subsequently queued and then rejected by AOL.

What other info do you seek? The blacklisting will have to be resolved by AOL's email policies and/or potential contact with JaguarPC.

You obviously aren't stupid. You know 100% why I posted the above message. You also seem to know that only JaguarPC can sort this out with AOL. I'm not seeking any info as I dont need any. What I am seeking is useable host.

No, I don't know why you posted. You've never posted before so I have no way of knowing your style of writing or personality. And since you don't need advice, why post on the general "users helping users" forum? Might your energies and hostility be better directed in a specific support request to Jaguar's ticketed support?

In summary and borrowing a line from the soup Nazi from Seinfeld:

    "No soup for you!"

On a lighter note I have taken the appropriate steps with AOL as I have had to do this before. Generaly AOL drags their feet with this however the IP usually drops off their list in a few days.

    Les,

It took months for me to get my domain and/or my server unblacklisted from AOL.

At least this guy got a bounce back from them. They just silently dropped my emails on the floor.

I had no idea why a certain contact of mine (an LA celebrity, or course) wasn't returning my emails.

I lost his patronage after I apparently (to him) never returned his emails.

Is there any way in the world other than a dedicated server, to get my emails to go out under my own IP addy and domain name?

    Thanks
