I sign up a 'giga deal' at Jaguarpc, on Mon, 28 Jun 2004.
I moved my files and email the same day to Jaguarpc.
Since that day my site is down almost every day!!!
Jaguarpc is like this or not?
Will you fix that, some day?

My Jaguar web site is
www.fernandochaves.com (no .br)
The brazilian domain I use because I'm living in Brazil and many people here automatically use ...br especially on email address.
My first idea was to move both domains to Jaguarpc.
Now I'm not so sure. I'm at Jaguarpc since june 28 and my site
www.fernandochaves.com goes down almost every day.
This morning I asked the support, they answer only 6 minutes later:
'Our Reply:
Hello Fernando,
Sorry for the inconvinence, we have rebooted your server and it's back
online now. Let us know if you need further assistance.
Regards,
Brian
Thank You.'
It's probably bad luck but it happens too many times at Jaguarpc.
Best regards,
Fernando

I've had no trouble accessing either of those addresses ever since your original post was listed though, I confess, I don't visit your site multiple times a day.Originally posted by Fernando Chaves

Could you elaborate on your site not being accessible? Are you able to FTP your site at all times? Or is it just port 80, 8080, 8000 HTTP requests that don't work? How about SSL? Are you getting mail through the browser (with HTTP protocol), or by an external, dedicated application?
I notice that you are using a Java applet on your homepage. Sometimes that can screw up a site because there is an incompatibility with the Java version being used and the browser initiating it. Numerous crashes whereby access via browser application is halted or intermittent could be due to bad Java. If you need to test, try temporarily disabling the Java applet from your site and see if the problem persists. Just a thought.

The problem was fixed this afternoon. According to support my server have been rebooted.
This morning I couldn't connect ftp, http, cpanel and check my email. It happens the same way during friday, saturday and sundays.
They reboot the server every morning!

The next time your site is down, please perform a trace route and post the results here. This doesn't sound like JagPC at all and I'm willing to bet this is a problem somewhere else along the network. If you can post a trace route, that may help to determine where the breakdown is at and whose fault it is. I very much doubt this is a Jag problem, but I'm sure we can help you find out who IS responsible for it.
Looks like you have DNS problems...

I just ran my multihosted site through dnsreport and got several errors (same errors as fernandochaves). However, I am not experiencing any downtime.Originally posted by Vin DSL

I got this answer to my support ticket (just in few minutes, as usual):
"Our Reply:
Please ignore this this errors the error was due to the canonical name
setup of our master name servers you can use either ::
ns3.nocdirect.com 69.73.134.223
ns4.nocdirect.com 69.73.136.223
or
ns3.jaguarpc.net 69.73.134.220

Let's test the theory. Take a look at my NS, and compare the results to yours...Originally posted by Fernando Chaves

OK Fernando Chaves - Except for domain name/IP assignment (obviously) and physical server, I get the same request output information as Vin.Originally posted by Vin DSL

I'm confident that the maintenance on this server was a major part and this should be apparent now. I do not show that the server has gone down since the work was accomplished.
