    Overall quality of Jag support

In a word, the overall quality of Jag support, in my experience, has been FANTASTIC.

I've hosted with several providers ranging from free to $60 per month. Not only has Jag offered more features than any of them, but their support has been far and away the best.

People often say that with a lower price comes less service, but I have just not found this to be true with Jag.

The reason I'm writing is that I wanted the php tidy extension installed. In hunting around the web, I found that many people have trouble with this install and it often creates problems. It created problems for the support staff at Jag also. But they just completely stuck with it through four or five recompiles, several tests and many back and forths through the support ticket system. until they got it working

I don't want to single anyone out who helped me with this particular issue, because every interaction I've had with the support staff at Jag has been great.

I also wanted to write because people usually sound off when they're mad. After several years with Jag, running multiple accounts hosting a half-dozen sites and with some occasionally difficult support requests, they have NEVER LET ME DOWN.

Tom, I'll echo your positive comments.

Last night, I opened a ticket to have the SSH shell enabled on my account. The ticket was answered in 50 seconds!

All of my tech support questions have been answered quickly and the situation resolved to my satisfaction. I am very happy with Jag.

A domain change resulted in a "suspended account". Jag's time to solve my problem?

    Hello:

    Your account is fixed now.

Regardless of the problem's origination, JaguarPC tech support was, as always, great.

I think you will find any old timer at Jag satisifed with support or we would not still be here. Jag is not perfect by they are better than any other host I have tried.

    Ditto to the kudos.

As evidence, I currently have a thread running that is documenting the shortcomings of a competitor webhost for comparison.

the only, and I mean ONLY complaint I've ever had was in getting information about what problems existed or were fixed. Some things happen by magic, and I don't really like that - I try to keep a log of server problems and solutions for my own edification and future reference.

It's tough to get any good information from the ticket system, though I've asked many times. I realize, however, that the techs usually don't have enough time to write out a 'Server Maintenance for Complete Freaking Morons', but a short list of what was wrong and what fixed it would be nice. Sort of like having a copy of the Tech's log entry (which I presume they keep and submit).

However, that's not something they say they offer anyway, so if I do get anything, it's a bonus.

    Summary: VERY VERY HAPPY!!

    Thumbs down

    Well; not ALL of it

I was recently moved to a new server (Orion), as Oxygen was getting too busy and have been in trouble ever since. The move was supposedly a no brainer, but it turned out a whole lot different. Most annoying about it all are the technicians that are apperently assigned to this machine: whatever I write in a ticket, I get as an answer 'it is fixed now', only to find out it still isn't next time I need it. I find this extremely rude and annoying.
