You'll need to open a support ticket in the clients section. Support rarely visits the forums, so it will probably be a while before anyone who can help you will see your post.

To access the client section you can log in on the JPC homepage. Generally you'll use your domain name (of the first site that you've hosted here if you have more than one) as your username and the original password of that site as the password. From there you'll see an option to create a support ticket.

    pages load sooo slow

I am not sure if any of us has any problem accessing your website. For the last 2 weeks, around 10:00pm to 11:30PM EST (US).... i can hardly go to my site ---the site has just been done, and there are definitely only few of my friends visiting the sites....
I already sent a ticket to the Tech support.

Accessing ftp is ok, but visiting my website via browser seems to have some sort of problems ...

Does anyone know how many mysql connections we normally have? Could requesting to increase the connections make the site load faster? The reason I asked this is because last time soon after the tech increased the number of mysql connections, my site loaded fine.

Thank you! I thought I was the only person that noticed this. I have mentioned this numerous times in these threads.

This happens to me randomly, all day and all night long, but almost always around Midnight 'server time.'

I get 15-30 second page generation times. I've checked the server load when this happens, and it always looks normal, so that's not it.

On my site, I have a script that displays page generation times at the bottom of each page. It also breaks the time down by PHP and Mysql in percentages.

When this happens, my script reports that PHP accounts for 99-100% of the lag. So, it would appear that the culprit is PHP...

Please don't tell me you DON'T use PHP on your site, or that will blow my much-considered theory...

    hi Vin,

My site is using mainly PHP.
Yeah, it is frustating to see the site loads so slow during the time that you need it to load fast the most

Well, maybe 'we' can get something going here. This seemed to start around May.

I noticed they just upgraded 'my' server (a couple of weeks ago) to PHP 4.3.8, and it still has the same problem, so I dunno...

Just a thought that may not be worth more than what it cost you guys.

I don't know anything about php obviously. Could you build a html page that had the same information and see how long it took that page to load in comparison to the php pages?

    Just a thought.

The servers here are quite fast. However, there seems to be an issue with PHP during certain times of the day. I'm sure 'they' will figure it out...

If that's what 'they' said, Bart, not just what you think 'they' said, then 'they' are mistaken!

When this happens to me, I get 15-30 second page generation times, which is absurd. I'd have to have 100's of ppl online for that to happen - probably 400-500 ppl online, all dancing on the <ENTER> key at the same time. My all time record is 99 ppl online at once, and that happened one time in almost 2 years. Most of the time I have 25-50 ppl online. That's nothing!

Secondly, this nonsense will happen one minute, then a minute later it's fine. The same 25-50 ppl are still there.

What's more, the script I have on my website shows how many page view there were in the last 5 minutes. A lot of times I've had less than 10 page views in 5 minutes.

So, that's a bunch of 'cockadoodie', as they say here in the 'States'...
