Quick (maybe dumb) question

hey all. I'm about to be getting a merchant account very soon.

theres this one palce that has some pretty good rates, yet I don't tihnk they offer any gateway, just the merchant account.

How will I have to apply for the authorize.net gateway? Do i have to buy that program, or is it already included in the osCommerce cart, being that I see it there ready to be installed.

can anyonequickly sumamrize what I must do to activate that?

any help would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks.

If the merchant account you are going to get is a reseller for Authorize.net they should be able to take care of your set up with Authorize.net. If their not you will need to apply to Authorize.net separately.

Processors and Gateways are two seperate services. You need both to accept CC online.

You might want to check with the processor to see what Gateways are available if you use their service.

Any gateway setup in a shopping cart helps you to connect to the gateway eaisly. You have to have an account with the gateway. You will have to enter username and pass word into the cart program before you can use the gateway.
