We have a web site for writers, http://amsaw.org, in which a literary agency has its own sub-site, http://amsaw.org/swetkyagency/. But, as I now know I'm the last to learn, when someone types in the literary agency address, up comes a linked list of all files and pages in the agency folder, instead of the agency's home page. I converted the agency site from a folder to a sub web, thinking that would do the trick, but it didn't.
Any advice on how to set up the root web to get browsers to go to the agency's home page without exposing every file in the sub web? - D. J.
