Open a ticket and tell Tech Support to bump the limit...
It's also possible that you have a bunch of open queries, e.g queries that never closed, for whatever reason. Once again, that will require the help of Tech Support.

Thanks VIN, you know what's weird is that it fixed itself...
I wasn't keeping track, but did they possibly update myphpadmin to a newer version?
Everythings working fine now....

I used to have a lot of trouble with MySQL here, but they seemed to have fixed it. Most of the time, the symlink would mysteriously disappear, or it would get corrupt and quit working. Occasionally, there would be too many open queries, and so forth. Why this happened was anybody's guess.
I would have to contact Tech Support, because there was no way for them to detect it. On their end, everything always looked fine. And, if somebody didn't contact them, the problem was never resolved. Sometimes, MySQL would be 'down' for hours, but once Tech Support was aware of the problem, it would be fixed in minutes. So, all I can tell you is, whenever you have a problem with MySQL, make sure you launch a ticket ASAP.
Most likely, that's what happened in this situation. Someone contacted Tech Support, and they fixed the problem. All it takes is a few clicks of the keyboard, but they can't fix it if they don't know it's broken, you know?![]()

If you're on krypton, then it was me that contacted them. It was a problem again this morning (about 9:00 AM EST). As Vin said, I used to have problems a lot too. Then it was good for about a year. now problems again - twice in two days. grrrr..
Yes l am on the same server...
now l can't even log into the cpanel, and there's another problem with connections to the sql database....
I can't even log into the cpanel to open a ticket about this, anyone else on krypton having the same problems?

You don't need to go through CPanel to get to the ticket system. Just go to www.jaguarpc.com and log in on the homepage.

Genesis mysql server is down too. Can't access it via script, phpMyAdmin or through the shell. The error message is
-jailshell-2.05b$ mysql
ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)
I opend a ticket. My accounts on plutonium are fine though.

now the entire connection to my sql databases have been servered...
:/ this is the 2nd time in two days.
Thanks VIN, l was able to open a ticket that way ~ heh guess l got a little paranoid and assumed l wouldn't be able to long in that way either. So far l've got a response that claims they're "working on it" but the problem has just gotten worse, if anything.
l'm on krypton btw...
On top of all that, l haven't been able to backup my databases for the past 9 days (which l've opened another ticket on days ago that's still open)...
I love this host, and they've been nothing but great over the past several years that l've been dealing with them, and I recommend them to all my friends... but these last weeks days have been rocky. Not that l'm threatening to leave or anything, but does anyone know what the heck has been going on this weekend?

since they corrected the mysql problem on krypton this morning, my site is running extremely slowly. It usually takes 1-5 seconds to load my main page tops, today it is taking at least 30.
