    Can anyone help?

I have came across a problem while installing phpnuke 7.4.
It is a new installatoin. I know I could install phpnike6.8 with the installer script in control panel without problem. But I want the newer version. SO I install phpnuke manually by downloading phpnuke7.4 and then following the installation guide myself. Just upload the zip file of phpnuke via file manager, then extract it, then edit the config.php file for these things

    $dbhost /$dbuname/$dbpass/$dbname

Accroding to the installation guide, then I shall be able to
go to the admin.php file and do all other things, but I came across the problems

I have tried to contact support of Jaguarpc before but here is the answer I got:

"we can install it for you manually for $25 installation charges. Please confirm and we will proceed"

I think the support know how to solve the problem and it will not be difficult for him. But instead of helping me, he suggests to charge me for that.
It seems to me that the support don't really want to help me but just want to make money.

It seems to me that you are installing 3rd party software not supported by Jag. Why should they do all your work for nothing.

You should try posting the questions at a php-nuke support site as well as here.

Also you would probably get a better response by not throwing out flames at someone just because they won't do what you want.

It doesn't look like all your files were uploaded properly. I would try to unzip them locally and upload them all again. Making sure that the config.php file is correct.

Thanks tank for your reply. I am not asking the support to install the software for me for free. I just want to hear some advices (something just like what you have said) because I believe the support are more experienced and know more than me. It is really not that good to hear about money when you are simply asking for some advices and kindly help.

I'm in a time bind right now, so this will be short...

The reason you're getting those error messages is because your db isn't setup right, or you're no connecting to it, blah, blah, blah...

I suggest you let cPanel do the install for you. Then, once your Nuke site is up and running, and you have set yourself up as the admin, et cetera, then you can simply go back and update to Nuke 7.4.
