    NIC Records / Name Servers

    hello

I bought a domain from godaddy called name-the-game.net, and placed there the ns.jaguarpc.net (etc) in the dns servers, but it doesnt work, i have waited like for 2 weeks and nothing...

Is there any special preparation i have to do at my own site, so that when i type www.name-the-game.net the browser shows me the same as http://ntg.docaj.net?

    Thanks for any help.

    Regards,
    RootShell

PS: Maybe this is a question that GoDaddy should answer, if so, let me know and i'll try to contact them instead.

You need to contact JPC support to have them set up a multihosted domain. Just ask them to point name-the-game.net to ntg.docaj.net. Then they'll set up to DNS servers to work with name-the-game.net. Right now what is happening is that requests for name-the-game.net are going to ns*.jaguarpc.net, but the DNS server is saying to the requestor "I don't know anything about that domain!"

You're welcome. Someone just needs to tell the nameservers where to send requestors. Actually, the multihosted domain setup does 2 things: it establishes a new DNS zone for the multihosted domain so that the DNS server can route requests to the correct IP and it sets up Apache to be able to know which page to send when requests for the multihosted domain come in.

You should have everything working really soon. (It may take a couple days for the DNS, though.)

    Hey RootShell,
I don't see that you have submitted a support ticket for this issue. Would you like us to multi-host the domain name for you? If so, please create a support ticket or send me a PM!
