    WebDAV with Mozilla Calendar?

    Hi all:

Been bitten by the open source bug lately and have migrated over to Firefox / Thunderbird. Added in the Thunderbird-compatible calendar extension to migrate over my outlook info.

Unfortunately, I've been unsuccessful in getting WebDAV working - according to support, webDAV is installed / functioning correctly, yet I am unable to write anything in my hosted directory. I can place an ical file into the directory, chmod it to 777, view it via browser & calendar. Just can't get it to accept any changes.

Anyone else get webDAV to work? Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

    Got mine working successfully

in both Thunderbird and Sunbird. However, it took a bit of work to get it going, and it was a while ago that it was set up.

The path in Thunderbird to the folder at issue was http://www.domain.com/calendar/calendars/CalendarName.ics

I don't really believe it was necessary to have the .ics files two deep (calendar/calendars) rather than just one deep (calendar), but I was trying a lot of different things, and when it worked I didn't want to tinker with it.

In the last month or two, I installed PHP iCalendar 2.24 and (eventually) was able to get its fake WebDAV working instead. As far as read/write functionality in Thunderbird goes, I don't think its any better or worse. (The PHP iCalendar program itself is read-only. However, it does --with the right settings -- allow Thunderbird read/write access to its calendar directory.) The only reason I now use it instead of WebDAV is that PHP iCalendar allows me to browse to a window including all of my calendars (input in Thunderbird) and print them in a close-to-acceptable format. If WebDAV simply won't work for you at all, you may want to try this option.
