Question Problem with Domain replication !

    Hello friends:

I have registered a Domain and Hosting 15 days ago. I receive all data to access my hosting account, but till today my domain is not active through internet. Anyone knows what is happenning?

I made a nslookup to the JaguarPC DNS servers and my domain is on the servers, but the problem is that this records are not replicated to the root servers of Internet.

    Regards,

    Francesco

This is a common problem here from what I've seen. When you sign up for hosting and specify that you want to register your domain name as well you receive a link on the confirmation page that directs you to www.AletiaNic.com, JPC's domain registration site. They do not automatically register your domain name for you, you have to do it yourself on AletiaNic. To me this seems very counter intuitive, but that's the way it works right now.

    It is not possible !!

How can be possible??? I didn't saw this explanation anywhere and the total amount that I had paid included the price for the domain registration. Now in www.AletiaNic.com I have to pay again?????

    Please answer asap

    Thanks

You shouldn't. I have never registered a domain through JPC but I think that sets up your CP for your domain. I just looked at the process and it looks like you have to set up the account before JPC can finish the registration process.

As Connie says, they should have just charged you for the initial month's hosting, not for the domain registration. Check with your credit card processor to be sure, but I believe the JPC site will only charge you for the hosting (probably $9.99 if you chose month-to-month billing, or ~$100-$200 if you chose a 1 or 2 year plan). You'll get a separate charge form the AletiaNic site for the domain registration.

    Hello,
If you chose to register your domain name during the sign up process you should have been directed to aletianic.com to sign up for you domain name. You can go there now to register the domain if you still need to. The price of the domain name is not included in the $9.95/month for the hosting account.
