    Dump restore failing

Since everyone's been so helpful till now, I thought I'd try again

I uploaded an SQL Dump of my database data (which is about 1/2 Gig). But when the restore command was run, all was well until a table half way down the list (which just happens to be the biggest table) at which point it just stopped the restore.

Does anyone know what I should do to avoid the error so that it can restore the entire dump? I am willing to delete (or do anything that needs to be done) to the row causing this problem, but how can I find out which row that is?

Also, as I mentioned the file is very big, and my computer can't seem to handle me opening it in a program like WordPad. Any suggestions on how to actually open the file so I can do something to the row causing this (assuming the first problem above is solved).

    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

Are you doing the restore from the command line under an SSH connection?

Yes, actually Jag Support ran the command via ssh.

ERROR 1062 at line 87752: Duplicate entry '522911297' for key 1

Not sure what the specific command was as support ran it.

I would look at what line 87752 is, but I can't because the file is too big to open (with my current, limited knowledge). Any suggestions on which program to use to open the sql file?

    Thanks for any help!

I use a program called Winsyntax for writing/editing code, and just about every other kind of editing task you can think of. I use it to read my log files, and they tend to be huge. It takes a while to open these log files, but it works...

So, you might give it a try. You can download it from my site:
