    Question Forward, then delete?

When forwarding email to an outside account, is there a way to automatically delete the mail from the original email account?

I set up email forwarding through the Cpanel, which seems to work fine. However, after the emails are forwarded, a copy still remains in the original email account. I then have to go to the Cpanel and access the web mail for that account and delete them manually. I would like for them to be deleted automatically. Maybe what I'm looking for is Piping or Redirection, not forwarding?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Just delete the email account. Forwarders don't need to have a POP account behind them, and if there's no account then there's no place for the mail to sit.

Thanks from me for asking the question.

I wanted to know whether I could create a forwarding rule for an address with a pop email account without it stopping mail going into the box. I got my answer!
