Nitrogen Slow as all get out...

    Code:
    nitrogen:~$ uptime
      4:34pm up 14 days, 7:06, 0 users, load average: 58.63, 63.83, 54.83
    nitrogen:~$ uptime
      4:54pm up 14 days, 7:26, 0 users, load average: 17.14, 31.50, 40.95
    nitrogen:~$
I haven't seen system loads that high since I was in college using a PDP-11.

This isn't the first time this has happed to me either. In the last few months I've high loads often and the response times for pages and e-mail have been awful.

Now I don't run any mission critical enterprise stuff on my server. I just use it for e-mail & to serve a few photo galleries. Still, it's a drag. It makes the webmail unusable, which is the main way I read my mail from work.

I've been a JPC customer for some years and I never had this kind of problem until recently. I hope this is something that the JPC staff can deal with.

Yeah, I'm getting 15-20 second page generations on my sites too (again). I'll contact 'Tech Support'.

It seems they've been having problems with the JagPC DNS servers, the last few days...

    It get's better (worse)
    Code:
    nitrogen:~$ uptime

    nitrogen:~$ uptime

If it makes you feel worse (better)
    Code:
    neutron:~$ uptime
      6:20pm up 23 days, 55 min, 0 users, load average: 0.38, 0.43, 0.63

    neutron:~$ uptime
      7:48pm up 23 days, 2:24, 0 users, load average: 0.66, 0.53, 0.49
This is the reverse of your situation. Neutron is pretty much just sitting there, loafing along...

What does support have to say about the repeated problems? Have they found the problem, and are they able to properly fix it yet?
    Memento Mori

    Working fine now!
    Code:
    Script generation time: 1.3838 seconds ( PHP 83% - MySQL 17% )
I was getting 60-second page generation times, at it's worst, a few minutes ago.

Haven't had a chance to visit the client area yet. Last time (3 days ago) it was a DNS server issue...

    Whatever! Sh!t happens, you know?
