    Is there a way to limit how many times a file can be downloaded?

    Maybe if you only allow access to the file via a script or some sort. It sounds doable, but I don't know how.

    Yeah, there's a way (or ways) of doing this. There is a 'free MP3' site that I get on, and they limit downloads to 25 files a day, LoL! That is, they only allow 25 files to be downloaded from their server each day, so you have to be there when the (server) clock strikes midnight.

    I've been thinking about researching 'download limiting'. I have a cool video that some Honda Civic crew made in LA. I'd like to offer it up, but it's 50+ meg, so I'm not about to put it in my site until I can limit the number of times it can be downloaded each day.

    Maybe someone else will pop in here with the solution. If not, maybe I can come up with something...

    It wouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes to code something, but I'm too tired to do that now. Maybe I'll take a stab at it later in the week if I find the time.

    I had a 50Mb vids or less and wanted to limit the download so it won't eat my bandwidth.
