Yeah, Coppermine is a PITA, but it's worth it, IMHO.

    Here's mine: http://www.lenon.com/modules.php?name=coppermine

Heh! To continue, Coppermine was originally coded by a Frenchman. It doesn't really matter which Frenchman - he mysteriously disappeared anyway - probably got hold of a bad dick - whatever. Nothing good has come out of France since Napolean...

Coppermine had the most jacked up French coding I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot, but I fixed it. Later, I was invited to be on the resurrected Coppermine Team, but missed out on the opportunity 'cause I didn't answer my mail for 3 months.

If I was involved with Coppermine for PHP-Nuke, it would still be around, but I'm not, and THAT project died. The only one still going is the stand-alone version, and it's kinda sucky, IMHO. I helped them out for a while, but it kinda pissed me off that they didn't offer me a spot on the development team a second time. Plus, I had other irons in the fire - like NukeCops.

So, yes, Coppermine has problems, but I ain't the guy that's gonna tell 'them' how to fix it. Personally, I prefer the jacked up French version to the jacked up American version.

I use a modified version of the original code, which the 'new' guys abandoned, 'cause it was supposedly unsecure. However, the 'new' code is even worse, security wise. Blah, blah, blah...

Gawd! How did you get me going on this tangent?
