Ehm.. a bit more info for us to go on would have been nice; people tend to take things one thread at a time.

So; phpBB, right? What I did:
-> Replace the logo top left with my site's.
-> Replace the link 'under' that logo with a link back to the main page (you can still click the text links to get back to the forums main page).
It takes modificaton of just one line in templates\subSilver\overall_header.tpl. For me this was line 231, but it could be a bit higher up if your board has no mods installed.

I just dont know where to find this link to change it. Im using macromedia dreamweaver mx 2004, i just dont know what page to alter to get that link. Would anyone know?

Ah right; your template doesn't have a logo-link up top like the default one. Generally each set of templates will have the same stuffs in the same places though, so for "subSilver" read the name of your template.

IMHO people will want to have a way to go back to the forum index as well, as that is something done often when browsing a forum. So I'd be looking for a way to add a link to your home page, instead of removing the link now there. I suppose a new first button on that line of buttons up top (FAQ, Search, etc) would do nicely. These are also in overall_header.tpl.

Of course, you could try to split that link into two parts: "Site name -> Forum Index -> ..", but that would be a considerable amount of work, as those links are used in a lot of different templates. You can search the sources for "L_INDEX" to see where.

As for Dreamweaver.. I dunno how well that handles php stuffs. Isn't that made primarily to handle HTML?
