    Tech support trouble

My domain was never set up correctly when I first became a reseller and every third or fourth resold account does not register with my name servers.

Then I have to go around and around with tech support who does not read the original support request saying that the newly registered domain does not get registered with my name servers. I get the brush off being told to "change the name servers to xxx.nocdirect.com" or whatever.

No. YOU correct the DNS to use my name servers like it's supposed to. I'm getting really tired of going through this. I've got yet another one of these and now I'm being given the run around by a "Joanne". It's the same run around I got from someone else a few months ago.

I'm getting really, really tired of it and would like things to be corrected once and for all.

How do I go about doing that? Going through channels doesn't seem to work.

    Edit:

I should note that this problem first happened in April of 2004. It's been going on and on and on ever since.

Im not sure I totally follow this all but lets work though it and Im sure we will get this rectified soon. You signed up with a wrong domain, but now are you using the domain you want? Have you ever created custom name servers using your correct domain, ie ns1.RESELLER_NAMe.com and ns2.RESELLER_NAME.com ?

When you setup these accounts in the client section they are instantly on the server and you receive the information, correct?

After that point do you update your clients domain to use your custom name servers, if they exist or do they not exist and thats the problem?

Using the nocdirect ones will get your sites up but I gather from your message that you are wanting to use your own custom ones, which I agree you should.

Do you have custom name servers setup and registered, based on your reseller domain?

Maybe email or pm me a ticket number and/or your reseller domain so I can check your tickets and take it from the top.

    1) A long time ago, I had a normal Jaguar account.
    2) Much later, I changed it to a reseller account
    3) The first resold account didn't register correct.
    4) The latest resold account has also not registered correctly.

Yes, I have name servers that are used (eventually) correctly for every other resold account. They also were not set up correctly as I have been told, at various times, they are ns.MYDOMAIN.com and ns2.MYDOMAIN.com and at other times ns1.MYDOMAIN.com and ns2.MYDOMAIN.com. The ns and ns2 seem to work, ns1 does not.

The latest ticket is [edited] where I was told, as far as I can tell, "too bad." Quoting directly, it says:

"I am afraid that the account RESOLDDOMAIN.com is not setup in Panther server where your reseller account MYACCOUNTcom is."

How, exactly, is that helpful in any way? None of my other resold domains is on panther, either. Okay, one is but that one never worked right from the start.

This happens in 1/2 of all domains I try to resell. It's getting so that it's not worth the effort since it takes tremendous effort and a request of escallation to get someone at tech support to LISTEN TO WHAT I'M SAYING instead of fobbing me off.

Sorry to go off on this, and as you can see, based on the number of postings I've made here (this being the 2d I think), I'm happy here. But not being listened to when the demonstrated history of all my tech support tickets shows I do know what I'm talking about, and I would appreciate having my tickets at least read and addressed fully.

I'm just very, very frustrated at the moment, and I am Not Happy.

Well, generally speaking, people are most vocal when they're complaining... Happy people are quiet for the most part.

Harumph! I'd support that remark if I had something positive to add!

    Ergo, non-positive response->vocalized->evidenciary disgruntlement->QED. I'm so depressed.

Dude, this is great! Let it out! The squeaky wheel gets the grease - and that's a fact! 'We' like to see ppl put on a pedestal, just to watch 'them' fall...

I was putzing around last night/morning and was into a '#5-is-alive' mode, absorbing as much info as I could - reading, reading, reading - click, click, click... And, I started thinking about an old host of mine.

I looked up this host, still on the Top 10 List of a famous web hosting review place. Whatever...

You know, 'they' still don't have a support forum, like this place has, to vent your frustrations? And, I'll bet 'they' suck worse than 'they' did when I was hosted there...

Bottomline: venting is what this forum is all about. So, go for it! I, for one, appreciate the drama - and it makes JagPC a better place, I'm sure, to Jag's credit...
