    Hey,
Just ran across a problem with which tech support couldn't help me.

My new server has vim installed, but it's behaving like vi

I know that on my other machines here at JAG a few years agoi they made the big switch from vi to vim, OR they turned on some of vim's abilities that weren't before.

On neon and mercury, vim behaves the same:

    1) The editor is language sensitive so that different laguage elements are in different colors,
    2) Last edited location info is kept, and
    3) .viminfo files are saved in the /home/<usrname> directory

Anybody know offhand how to turn these features on, before I have to go digging?

    Thanks.
