    Changing display prefs w/ .htaccess?

I have a directory full of gifs for another forum. Is there an elegant way to display all of them on the page from the default directory view? In other words, they are just sitting in the directory, and I don't really want to load them into an HTML file just to see them... any chance of doing this through .htaccess?

Easiest way would be to create a simple PHP script that cycles through the directory and displays the images. As for a built-in gallery with Apache, there isn't one.
