I'm very new to this, so please be gentle.
I'm attempting to install IceCast on Krypton, and running into some trouble. When I try to ./configure, it returns an error stating "configure: error: C preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check". After some Googling, I've discovered that this is a generic error message. Looking in 'config.log' I find what appears to be the source of the problem:
conftest.c:12:19: stdio.h: No such file or directory
conftest.c:13:23: sys/types.h: No such file or directory
conftest.c:14:22: sys/stat.h: No such file or directory
conftest.c:17: error: syntax error before '*' token
conftest.c:17: warning: `struct stat' declared inside parameter list
conftest.c:17: warning: its scope is only this definition or declaration, which is probably not what you want
conftest.c:17: warning: data definition has no type or storage class
conftest.c:46: error: syntax error before "FILE"
conftest.c:46: warning: `struct stat' declared inside parameter list
conftest.c:46: error: `pairnames' declared as function returning a function
conftest.c:46: error: syntax error before "int"
So my question: Is it even possible for me to install this software? Would I need to ask tech support to install it for me? Would they even do that?
Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
Nareau
