    bounced spam on Jaguar servers

I've been getting increased bounced mail from 2 servers on Jag. For the past week or 10 days on one of the servers, now on the 2nd I use.

Most I'm getting seem to be forging one or another of my email addresses. It seems to be all the email addresses I have on Jag are being used as a return address on the spam.

In the past whole server has been identified by spam cop or something like it and the email I send has a hard time getting through.

Anyone else having problems. I do understand there's not much that can be done about it.

    But, this is getting tiring.

Hi Tom, What server are you on? I know that Yahoo's SPAMGUARD is considering all e-mail from Hydrogen's SMTP server SPAM. I'm currently working with JaguarPC via a trouble ticket on it. I'd suggest you open up one yourself as well.

The 2 servers are plutonium and gold. I've been through the route before when someone uses my domains on a server, and not much was done. Then it was AOL I think who had banned all email from one of the servers and they weren't responsive to anyone.

I wonder if anyone else on these servers is having their domains used.

Find a bounce that includes the full original mail (including headers). Put that original mail through Spamcop and see where it is from.

-> If it DOES come from a Jag server, alert JagPC. They'll make fast work of the jerk that slipped through.

-> If it does not come from a Jag server at all, which is most likely, then reporting it through that Spamcop system is the best (and pretty much all) you can do. It will figure out and alert the companies responsible for the sender's connection.

Note that this last case is equivalent to someone posting a letter and writing your name and address on it as the sender's - which makes it 'return' to you when undeliverable. There's nothing you can really do about that and no sensible anti-spam measure will block your own e-mails because some spamming jerk did that to you.

Therefore, your (TS's) problem is most likely totally NOT related to the problem spoken about in the replies posted above.

I opened a ticket. Yes, not much to be done about it.

    Thanks.
