    I can't update my site

For some reason, my HTML editor can't update my site any longer. I get this error message:

"Cannot write data in the destination file /public_html/index.html.
Confirm that the destination folder and destination file are correct."

I have checked, and the paths seem correct, as are the username and password. I can see it communicating with the server, as I see it displaying PASS, CHMOD, STOR, QUIT, etc., which it usually does when updating. So it appears to be logging in OK.

I haven't changed anything on my computer or with my HTML editor, and the files can be changed online using CP. Any ideas what's going on? I need to start removing all the holiday stuff, but can't do it until this is resolved. Permissions look OK as well, at least I haven't changed anything since I last used my HTML editor a few days ago, and everything worked just fine. Great way to start off the New Year.

    Thanks for any suggestions!

I just tried to change several other pages on my site, and I get the same message with all of them.

Use Cpanel -> File manager to delete your old "index.html" and then try to upload the newone.

I've tried adding a new page to see if that would work, but it didn't. Same error message on my HTML editor.

I've checked the clock on my computer to make sure it's correct, as I know that can cause weird problems, this is very strange. I did open a support ticket, but so far they have not been very helpful.

Problem resolved by support. There was a space problem on the server, and it was corrected. Everything seems fine now.

    Thanks for the advice.

Can you FTP or SCP? Could be a cache between you and the server is presenting an out-of-date file. Unlikely, but possible.

Sounds more like a permissions issue or a disk volume that is too full to add new material. The directory should be drwxr-xr-x and the file should be -rw-r--r-- (You probably know that - just thought I'd add for completeness). Support should be able to investigate and solve this for you.

UPDATE: Nevermind. Issue was solved while I was thinking about the issue.
