Looks like one of your neighbors on Krypton was the target of a DOS attack that was causing the load to go squirrely. We're watching the server to be certain it's under control. I can't find a ticket open about this so please consider opening a ticket for quicker responses as the techs are not always in the forums at night.

Hi! Thanks for replying. I will open a ticket later tonight if the problem continues. I am getting ready to go to work right now so there is nothing I could do about it anyway. You said it happened last night, but the krypton server has been acting screwy all morning today as well. If someone on our server is under a DDOS or DOS attack I sincerely hope that they'll be moved elsewhere so that the rest of us aren't negatively affected by it.
But I'll send you a ticket tonight if the problem persists. I may be requesting a move to a new server. I have NO intention of sharing a server with a troublesome website that is having problems if it means that it's going to affect me as well. That's just not fair.
But aren't you on a shared server?Originally Posted by Jake 3.0
Tank makes a good point. DOS attacks on an another account on a shared machine are just one of the risks that you have to accept if you use shared hosting. It can be annoying at times, but if it completely unacceptable the only remedy you have is to go dedicated.Originally Posted by tank
Plus, how do you define a "troublesome website?" DOS attackes can happen to anyone--a you need is a p*****-off customer/aquaintence with a little bit of technical know-how and your site could be KO'd, too. The good thing about most DOS attacks (if there can be a good thing) is that they are usually pretty short lived or easliy controlled.
