    Question regarding acceptable content

I am doing an article for my website on an artist who would like me to host a film she made that contains some sexual material and some nudity. I can't seem to find if hosting such a film is against the acceptable use policy. I know there were restrictions the last time I read it but now I can't find them.

Could someone please advise me of what material would be acceptable to host?

My understanding is, 'adult content', so called, is allowed on dedicated servers, and colo, but not on shared servers. This stuff may, or may not, be allowed on VPS servers too. I don't think the subject has come up since they started offering VPS hosting...

    Edit: Check this out...

DISCLAIMER Any resemblance between the views expressed above and those of the owners and operators of this system is purely coincidental. Any resemblance between these views and my own are non-deterministic. The existence of Vin DSL is questionable. The existence of views in the absence of anyone to hold them is problematic. The existence of the reader is left as an exercise in the second-order coefficient.

I think VPS goes under "non-shared" when it comes to that.

If you've got anything borderline that you need an opinion on, I guess you'd best just put the article and the film in some inconspicuous (i.e. not yet linked to) corner for a moment and sent a link to sales requesting they tell you if it's ok or not.

Sorry for parsing your statement, but I *think* it depends on the meaning of 'that'...

JagPC doesn't allow 'adult content' on shared servers because 'adult sites', so called, suck resources, no pun intended.

This would apply to VPS also, no?

I have no clue if JAG wants to host adult sites or not, but I'd think a VPS can suck whatever resources they contract for, since they're selling them on a fixed/capped bandwidth and capped-but-burstable CPU and Memory basis.

Doesn't that makes sense, or is it just me?

    Or both.

    Or not.
