    Using SQLyog

I am looking at a GUI tool called SQLyog but am unable to get it to connect to my databases on jaguarpc. I have putty set up correctly (I am able to connect and access jailshell, but am unable to connect to mysql from jailshell) or to get the right configuration settings to get SQLyog to connect...

Anyone using this share their config?

    THanks

PS I am able to use MyPhpAdmin fine but I need to sync db's and do other things that this tool facilitates...

Such a tool tries to connect directly to MySQL on the server. You need to tell the server that it should accept that connection, as it doesn't normally accept external connections. You can do so through Cpanel > MySQL Databases. Use the functionality labeled 'access hosts' near the bottom of that page to add your home / work / whatever computer. You're advised to be as restrictive as possible. That's the server side. You'll also need to open up access through the firewall(s) on your own PC / LAN.

BTW - mainly for others looking for such a tool now: IIRC SQLyog became a paid tool and offers nothing MySQL's free Administrator and Query Browser do not.
