SMF forums and JaquarPC???

Anyone else having any issues using SMF forums and Installing Packages? I have gone over everything I can think of, and even submitted a ticket and the specialists here with JaguarPC says that my permissions are set. Here is a thread with the issue I am having.

SMF 1.1 RC1 fresh install.

I would appreciate it if anyone else with JaguarPC that uses SMF to take a look and see if they had the same issue and how they resolved it. Thanks.

hmmm... Well, acording to the Simplemachines forums (SMF support forums) no one else encounters this issue. And it is a FRESH brand new default install (just like everyone else does) and this feature doesn't work.

Sooo... I'm gonna try another hosting company and see if I have any success.

Information on the link above, as well as information in the ticket with JaguarPC's support staff if anyone is interested.

I'm not unhappy with JaguarPC, I love these guys, they do a great job, but I need this to work.

With the information in the above post i can not do anything, i dont see an error i dont see an example url, basicly, if you ask for help include your question and examples of the problem you are having.

I tried to follow the link to SMF forums, but i dont see anything, either the URL is wrong or i got to login at their forum.

I can't imagine JPC can't get it to work for you, but, keep in mind that a fresh install of software doesnt mean that it always works for everyone. You install it on a server which has certain installations on it, which might interfere with the SMF forums (however unlikely it is possible).

Hope you will find the answer to your problem though.

I wrote a hefty part of that package manager back when it was YaBB SE. It's been heavily rewritten, but I know that it is not a package manager file.
