    Jaguar Panel vs. Cpanel; Themes?

I have two accounts on Jag; a single hosting plan which I access through the Jaugar Panel which looks like a customized Cpanel. And a reseller account which uses the basic Cpanel account. Is one considered better or more powerful? Is there a way so that both plans have the same panel for my own standardization? Are these themes that can be turned on and off for both plans?

    Thanks!

the JPC theme is just that a theme, it is no more or less power ful, there is no "power" to it, it is just the way the information is displayed

if your a reseller I dont reall recommend using the JPC theme for resold account. Kinda defeats the purpouse of being a reseller

if your using the reseller account for other purpose's than reselling, just ask support to install the theme for you, I am sure they would

you can also make your own theme for cpanel

there are also a few standard themes already installed in cpanel. X2 is the most popular generic. Those are selectable at the package level.

Can you set the theme for an individual account? Thus...

    1. If I have a reseller account can each account setup in WHM have a different theme?

    2. For the Jag Hosting account could they change my theme to the standard CPanel without messing up others on the server?

Thanks for the help. Not sure what I want to do yet but I think it would be nice if the two accounts I have to access I would not have to mess with the subtle differences of two themes. I have enough problems as it is (smile!)...

as far as I know themes can only be set at the package level. So you would have to create 2 differant packages and assign the 2 accounts to those differant packages

They would also have to create a special package that has the differant theme assigned to it. and then assign your account to that package

There is one advantage of having 2 different themes though, it does mean you don't forget which server you are logged on to.

If for example you were to have some files that you wished to delete in your reseller panel, and accidentally deleted them in the other account, you could end up with a major problem, its always useful knowing which account you are on visually I find.

I for example use a different colour scheme if I am logged on my forum as admin, that way I know instantly what account is active at any given time, or even if I am actually logged on.

JPC does have an unbranded version of their theme, or at least they used to. I had it in my cPanel for a year or so after an upgrade. I'm not sure why I got it and it went away after the next upgrade. Visually, it was identical to the branded version, but the JPC log was replaced with some generic text like "Control Panel" or something and the support links at the bottom of the main page were absent. You could probably get the files from JPC and then brand it to your own liking.
