    Mysterious authenticated users showing up in Awstats

    I've recently noticed a few authenticated users showing up in awstats (I have always had 0 before). What might that be about?

    It's about accessing (parts of) your website(s) that are password protected. Normally this makes a username/password box pop up the first time you access them after starting your browser.

    Your cPanel is an example of an area protected in this way. (And if you started to access your cPanel via your own domain name, it may well be exactly what's showing up.)

    But the authenticated users are "mysterious", not me logging into cPanel. I have no other portions of my site that are password protected.

    There are just a few of these over the past several months, changing from month to month. Just wondering if this is cause for concern.
