    Looks like they just exploited some vulnerability with the system and not our sites individually, my site was defaced too.

    At least it's only the index.php/index.html files, I just uploaded the proper index.php/html files and all was fine.

    My site was defaced for about 20 minutes.

    That is what hackers do. It most likely wasn't something Jag could prevent.

    That's a folder permissions problem. They exploited folder permissions and uploaded a file so they could read files on your server. Then they found your passwords in some config file and voila. You're hacked.

    Nine times out of ten, these types of defacements are caused by a piece of software (blog, cms, photo gallery, copy of phpMyAdmin you've installed, etc.) that is out of date being exploited for a known vulnerability. These types of things aren't within the control of JPC since they are not responsible for your site's content. The best thing you can do is, for any piece of software that you've installed on your site, to check the distribution site regularly and upgrade or patch the software as soon as a new stable release becomes available or whenever the publishers recommend you do so.

    Many sites that distribute software have mailing lists where they'll send out timely notices of updates and security issues. You may want to consider subscribing to these lists as well.

    I've never really felt like putting my foot in the face of some kid, but that little blue-eyed rag-head suicide bomber is really starting to piss me off...

    Thing is they are completely brainwashed.

    What I don't get is why we're not allowed to kill them and we have to be 'nice' to the terrorists, I mean, they are already suicidal. Let's just get to them before they take innocent bystanders down with them.
